Cleanliness Dept. Saves Rp 14 B through e-Purchasing

Benefits of spending goods using e-purchasing system that has been registered through e-catalog began to be felt by the Regional Working Units (SKPD) under Jakarta Provincial Government.

Through e-purchasing system, we can save more than Rp 14 billion. Its budget is returned to local treasury

One of them is Jakarta Cleanliness Department that has saved budget as much as Rp 14 billion in the procurement of dump truck and heavy equipment this year with e -purchasing system.

Head of Jakarta Cleanliness Department, Saptastri Ediningtyas Kusumadewi disclosed this year, 285 dump trucks have been rejuvenated and 13 equipments purchased using e-purchasing system.

City Once Again Received Dump Trucks

"Through e-purchasing system, we can save more than Rp 14 billion. Its budget is returned to local treasury," he stated, Monday (9/15).

He details, dump trucks purchased using e-purchasing system consist of 50 small dump trucks, 8 small dump trucks plus bucket, 48 large dump trucks, 19 small arm-roll trucks, 15 arm-roll dump trucks, 9 tronton trucks, and 136 cart motors.

"We bought heavy equipments, comprising 7 units of shovel loader, 3 units of long-arm excavator and 3 units of amphibian excavator," he explained.

According to him, those dump trucks also have been handed over to the Health Department and Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) in all over Jakarta.

"Such vehicles have been handed over to sub-departments, UPTs and sections to transport waste in the city," he expressed.

Kusumadewi added that spending goods via e-purchasing system has some advantages. One of them, is Jakarta SKPDs do not need to spend up to six months for the auction.
